Richard Mercadante, D.C., C.C.S.P., was born in Northeast Philadelphia and raised in Warminster, Pa.. An area resident his entire life, he attended Archbishop Wood High School, graduating in 1973. He went on to Bucks County Community College earning an A.A degree in Psychology. Shortly after graduating in 1975 he married, bought a house and began to raise a family. Due to his fathers influence, he returned to education in 1979 attending Temple University as a pre med. He moved on to Pennsylvania Chiropractic College where he attained his D.C degree, then to New York Chiropractic College for his C.C.S.P. (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician).

In 1986 Dr. Mercadante remodeled what was once his grandfathers barber shop in Northeast Philly and opened his first practice. In 1988 he opened a second office associated with a fitness center in Horsham, Pa.. The doctor found it necessary to develop skills that were appropriate for both the geriatric patients of the city and the well muscled athletes of the fitness center. The result was a diversified and effective resume of techniques to effectively treat all types of patients. He has been in practice for 23 years, most recently running a mobile practice serving Bucks and Montgomery Counties and portions of Philadelphia.
